Thanksgiving is tomorrow, my house is starting to get filled up with visiting family and friends, and of course I am stuck doing homework! It always seems like when you really want to be able to relax something comes up to prevent you from doing it. Classes are definitely starting to get more busy before the end of the quarter, its unfortunate that Thanksgiving does not have great timing. Anyway happy thanksgiving.

Censored???

So this might not be perfectly with my theme of education, but I thought since almost all students use the internet, and many of them torrents and other things to pirate information its relevant enough to discuss. What I am talking about is the new proposed bill discussed in this article, a bill that some people think would make a difference in the amount of stuff that is constantly being pirated. To do this, the bill stipulates that sites like google would have to remove sites like thepiratebay.org (torrent sites) from its results, preventing many people from finding these torrent sites. Personally I thought this was surprising, I thought living in the "home of the free" was supposed to be free and uncensored, unfortunately it might start to change as time progresses.

How to study for a test:
I had to take a test last weekend, so I thought I would just post about what my test preparation is. I usually start studying a week or so before the date of the test. The first few days I don't study for too long, I usually just read and re-read any material that could possibly be on the test. The last few days I try to do any old homework problems, practice tests, quizzes, etc. This method has been working pretty well for me recently. All throughout high school and my first few years of college I was very bad at studying for tests. I would always study the night before, last minute, and try to learn everything at once. It was never a very effective way of doing things. It was a surprise to me how much of a difference study habits can make on your test scores.

Introductory Post

Hi, my name is Wyatt Williams and I am 20 years old and I live on Vashon Island. I am taking classes at South Seattle Community College this quarter, but plan on transferring back to Washington State University next year. Business is my current area of study, and hopefully I will graduate with a degree in the next few years. I am very new to the idea of blogging, I guess I'm really not the blogging type, hopefully I'll get used to it with a little practice. I haven't decided what exactly this blog will focus on, so for now it will be thoughts, fun things I've done, or interesting things I've stumbled on. The best and easiest way to get ahold of me is at my gmail, williams.wyatt@gmail.com.
